Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first session?

Each session begins with a brief check-in about your body, tension patterns, and goals. From there, I let your nervous system guide the pace, depth, and techniques. Whether it’s massage, CranioSacral, facial sculpting, or TMJ work, everything is customized moment-to-moment based on what your body needs that day.

Do I need to choose a specific service, or can I blend modalities?

You’re welcome to book any service, and I’ll integrate the techniques that best support you. If you’re unsure which to choose, book the service closest to your focus (massage, facial sculpting, or TMJ work) and we’ll tailor it fully during the session.

What’s the difference between facial sculpting and a facial?

Facial sculpting works with the fascia, lymph, and deeper facial muscles (including buccal work). It supports natural lift, tension release, and healthy aging.
Ritual Facials focus on skin nourishment, botanical products, and nervous-system support. Both are deeply relaxing, just with different intentions.

Is intra-oral TMJ work painful?

Intra-oral work can be sensitive. You may feel deep pressure or emotional release, but it shouldn’t be painful. I check in throughout the session and adjust based on your comfort.

What conditions can TMJ/intra-oral work help with?

This work can help with jaw pain, clenching, grinding, tension headaches, neck strain, facial asymmetry, limited jaw mobility, sinus pressure, and stress held in the mouth, face, and neck. Many clients also experience relief from migraines and upper-body tension.

What should I expect after facial sculpting or buccal work?

Most clients feel lighter, lifted, and deeply relaxed. You may notice immediate changes in facial tension, puffiness, symmetry, and ease of expression. Results build over a series as the tissues relearn balanced function.

Should I shower before coming to my session?

Yes. Please shower.
Even though it may feel counterintuitive because oils are used on the body and sometimes in the hair, arriving freshly showered helps your skin, muscles, and nervous system settle more easily into the work. It also allows me to use oils and techniques more effectively.

Can I go to the gym after my session?

It’s not recommended. Your body needs time to integrate the work, unwind, and shift into rest. Try to give yourself the gift of slowing down afterward — a gentle walk, good food, or quiet time at home is much more supportive than a workout.

How much water should I drink on the day of my service?

Hydration is always helpful, but it becomes especially important the day before, the day of, and the day after your session. Being well-hydrated supports your lymphatic system, muscles, and fascia, helping your body process and integrate the work more effectively.
Sip water consistently — no need to chug.

How can I get the most out of my sessions?

Your body responds best when it’s supported. Here are a few ways to maximize your results:

  • Get adequate sleep before and after your session

  • Drink plenty of water (steady hydration, not last-minute chugging)

  • Eat supportive, nourishing foods

  • Plan time to rest afterward if possible

  • Arrive open, present, and willing to slow down

The more regulated and nourished your body is, the deeper and more lasting the work becomes.

How many facial sculpting sessions do you recommend?

Most clients benefit from 3–6 weekly sessions, followed by monthly sessions, and eventually seasonal maintenance.
Single sessions are great for a reset or relief, but series create the longest-lasting change.

What products do you use?

I use clean, handcrafted, minimal-ingredient botanical skincare including whole herbs, oils, hydrosols, and gentle exfoliants. Everything is chosen to support the skin barrier, microbiome, and nervous system.

What should I wear?

For massage, you can undress to your comfort level — you’ll always be safely draped.
For facial sculpting or facials, remove jewelry, hair pins and wear comfortable clothing.

Can I book facial sculpting if I have Botox or fillers?

Botox requires a 5-week wait before receiving sculpting or buccal work.
Many fillers are not compatible with deep facial massage; please message me first if you have fillers so we can choose the safest option.

Is this work safe during pregnancy?

Some services are pregnancy-safe, but facial sculpting and intra-oral work are not recommended in the 1st or 3rd trimester.
Massage and CranioSacral can be adjusted safely for most pregnancies — feel free to reach out before booking.

Do you work with trauma or nervous-system sensitivity?

Yes. My work is trauma-informed, slow, attuned, and paced with your nervous system. I follow your breath and body cues to avoid overwhelm and create a sense of safety and grounding.

Can I talk during my session?

You’re welcome to speak as much or as little as you like. Most clients settle into quiet, but I always encourage you to communicate about pressure, comfort, or anything you need.

What if I’m new to massage or facial work?

You’re in good hands. I explain what you need to know, check in for consent, and move at a pace that feels supportive. You don’t need any experience — just come as you are.

How do I choose between a 60- and 90-minute session?

60 minutes is great for focused work.
90 minutes allows time for deeper facial sculpting, buccal work, or full-body integration.
If you’re unsure, 90 minutes offers the most complete experience.

Where are you located?

You’ll receive detailed parking and arrival instructions in your confirmation email.
